The severe recession of the 80s.
The decade of the eighties is one of the most critical periods in the industrial history of Eibar, a time in which the world-wide economic recession that had begun in the seventies deepens and continues well into the nineties. Visitors in this room are therefore met with large photographs of abandoned workshops and factories.
The closure of factories, the blighted attempt to ensure the continuity of the arms industry with the creation of a large company in Itziar, and in short, the difficult economic and social situation are shown in an audiovisual display during which it is the protagonists themselves who give a first-hand account of these testing times.
