All the pieces that are on display in the museum are made in Eibar. Factories and workshops still exist in the streets and alleys of the town, some still up and running, others adapted for other purposes, while yet more await some initiative to restore them to their former glory. We shall pause in front of these industrial buildings, and looking up at them we will contemplate them in a different light, in curiosity and wonder as we discover new details and anecdotes.
Along the way we shall draw your attention to the places and buildings that made and continue to make Basque industrial history. We will take in a different kind of heritage, one linked to economics and industrial production in a struggle for space among other buildings and blocks of flats. The itinerary we propose will give us an insight into the industrial townscape of Eibar. We shall adventure into the neighbourhoods of Txonta and Matsaria, and walk the streets of Otaloa, Urtzaile, Arane, Barrena or Urkizu.
Please join us on this visit and share our passion for Eibar?s industrial heritage.
